About Oseh Shalom Synagogue
Oseh Shalom is a vibrant Reconstructionist synagogue dedicated to equal treatment, hearing each member’s voice and creating a caring community. We strive to create a warm, friendly atmosphere for celebrating Jewish life through learning, prayer and social action. Members comes to explore and expand what Judiasm means in today’s world. Oseh Shalom is a place to find quiet, peace and growth in an increasingly noisy, complex world. It is a place to slow down and make connections with people who are working to make the world better by connecting with each other, their local community and the world.
Our members come from diverse backgrounds. Many members grew up in Reform and Conservative Jewish settings, while others grew up in Orthodox and secular Jewish homes. We welcome converts and those seeking faith. Oseh congregants live in Columbia, Ellicott City, Savage, Jessup, Clarksville, Fulton, Olney, Silver Spring, Burtonsville, Kensingt
