Oseh Films: Rosenwald, Mon, Feb 25, 2019, 7:15 pm

Join us for the second film of the Oseh Jewish Film Series— Rosenwald—on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 7:15 pm (changed from February 11).  From Aviva Kempner, the award winning director of “The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg” and “Yoo-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg,” this documentary tells the incredible story of Julius Rosenwald, who never finished high school but rose to become the President of Sears.  As a Jewish philanthropist, he joined forces with African American communities in the Jim Crow South to build over 5,300 schools (called Rosenwald schools) during the early part of the 20th century.  2015, English, 95 minutes.
