This tragi-comic tale revolves around the troubled relationship between a father and son who both teach at the Talmud department of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.   Their rivalry comes to a head when the son receives word that, at long last, he is the recipient of a prestigious Israeli prize. This film won Israel’s 2012 “Oscar” for best picture.  Discussion and dessert to follow. (2011, Hebrew with English subtitles, 1 hour, 47 minutes) .
