Shabbat Morning Service

This Shabbat we read from Parshat Yitro, which includes the awesome story of the giving and receiving of the Ten Commandments.  God speaks directly to the entire nation of the Israelites for the first and last time.  The Torah’s description of this event is filled with great detail.  It is among the most theatrical scenes in the Bible.  This is the seminal event in the formation of our nationhood and the level of detail underscores that.  At our services this Saturday morning we will review the scene, looking for lessons large and small.  Please join Cantor Charlie for services on Saturday morning.
