Chanting and Meditation

Did you know: chanting is not just for protests and to be done outwardly, or for yoga and to be done in Sanskrit?

Join Rabbi Daria on the 3rd Shabbat morning of the month for a Shabbat service based in Hebrew chant. Come prepared to go “deep” instead of “broad” with the liturgy as we lift up and focus on just a handful of the words, tapping into them in new ways that can affect us powerfully internally and externally, on an individual and group level.  These Shabbat services still include Torah study.

In the words of Rabbi Daria’s chant teacher, Rabbi Shefa Gold, “chanting takes the song that is in our mouths and plants it deep in our hearts. There it can grow and flower and bring forth the fruits of constant remembrance.”  You can read more about chant as a spiritual practice at www.rabbishefagold.com/chant-core-practice/
